github에서 vscode연동 후 commit하려는데 .lock 창 뜨고 commit 안될때

👉 내 코드 상태 

---

1. github repository를 내 컴퓨터에 clone하여 vscode로 열고 update될때마다 commit 버튼을 눌러서 commit을 하는 도중,

2. 터미널에 command로 git add. git commit 등을 입력하니 에러가 남.

 

내 vscode git status

커밋 버튼을 누르니 이게 뜸

📌 내가 해본 시도 방법

💡 1. 다른 파일을 진행중일 수 있다고 해서 모든 창 지우고 컴터 껐다가 킴 (x)

 

안됨..

 

 

💡 2. 아예 git에서 클론한 repository 폴더를 다 지우고 다시 clone한 후에 다시 git commit하면 된다고 하는데

 

(응 이거는 되겠지… 근데 내가 update한 코드는 다시 붙여넣어야 하잖아…)

💡 3. lock 파일을 지워보기 (해결)

1. git add .부터 다시 함

$ git add .
fatal: Unable to create 'C:/Users/User/Documents/GitHub/Self_Projects/Login_backendBeginner/.git/index.lock': File exists.

Another git process seems to be running in this repository, e.g.
an editor opened by 'git commit'. Please make sure all processes
are terminated then try again. If it still fails, a git process
may have crashed in this repository earlier:
remove the file manually to continue.

이런 에러가 남

 

rm -f .git/index.lock

터미널에 위의 명령을 실행하고 다시 commit 버튼을 누르니 제대로 commit되고 github에도 올라감!!
